This blogger has a point of view that is hard to ignore. I find these views fascinating.

I wonder how that makes the donors feel? I would bet their motivations are pure, but do they know that in terms of doing good for patients, especially the patients in their own state and community, UT Southwestern ranks next to last in the country?

The article was published in the most esteemed journal on the topic, that accepts only the best science, after thorough peer-review, about 10% of manuscripts submitted.

UT Files Fifth Circuit Appeal in Klebe Case Image via Wikipedia Refusing to accept the justice handed down by a Texas jury, UT is appealing the Klebe case to the Fifth Circuit. This important tenure and retaliation case is officially one step from the Supreme Court now. It is a case that all Texas higher education faculty should be following. CORRECTION: In fact, UT is appealing two Texas jury verdicts in favor of Dr. Klebe. After the first verdict awarding Dr. Klebe $900,000, UT claimed there wasn't sufficient evidence for that decision. Accordingly, a second, separate jury awarded Dr. Klebe $400,000. Of course, Texas law limits any award...

UTMB Censure Story Stretching Its Legs in Austin Image via WikipediaJudging from this excerpt, whether UTMB or UT admits they did anything wrong or not, it appears the regents have tried to strengthen faculty involvement during a reduction in force.
