The New Tower: Silence Is Golden (For UT's Coffers)

There's not a word about the hospital tower that is supposed to go up and for which the Legislature authorized funding. As important as that tower is, in that its location will decide whether or not Galveston facilities will amount to a "community hospital" or a world-class facility, the Galveston County Daily News seems decidedly incurious. As regular readers already know, UT and UTMB administrators want to move much of the institution's efforts across the bridge onto the mainland to chase more wealthy patients.

UTMB rebuilding is getting into high gear
The serious work of rebuilding and renovating University of Texas Medical Branch is about to get into high gear.
it seems to me that ensuring that hospital tower is built in Galveston is "serious work," as well.
